Where I'm headed in 2026

Today is my birthday!

(Pisces sun, Aquarius moon, Taurus rising, in case you're wondering.)

To celebrate, we’re taking a quick day trip to London this weekend. We’ll see the marquee Marie Antoinette exhibition at the V&A, have a nice lunch, spend the afternoon walking around, then jump on the Eurostar back home.

The ability to take trips like this is maybe my favorite thing about living in Paris.

(That and the baguettes. On Monday, we stopped to grab one on our way home from French class, and they handed it to us still warm from the oven. Heaven. We’d eaten a third of it before we even walked into our building.)

ANYWAY …

After 13 years taking advantage of being in western hemisphere, it’s great to have most of Europe accessible within a few-hour flight or train ride.

Partly because of this—but mostly because he’s so smart and good at his job—Iñi’s getting lots of invitations for talks and conferences across the continent, and I’m taking every opportunity to tag along.

I thought you’d be interested in what’s on the calendar this year, Reader, since I’ll be deep-dive researching these places, checking out the hotels and restaurants, and of course sharing about all of it.

In other words, what I have to look forward to, you have to look forward to.

Here’s what’s coming up:

March

NYC for a mastermind retreat and writing workshop, plus hotel inspections and catching up with friends. I’ve really been missing New York, and I CANNOT WAIT.

April

Granada, and this time I remembered to get Alhambra tickets early (do NOT sleep on this if you’re visiting Granada!!!).

May

Our busiest month: Prague, London, and then FINALLY crossing a proper trip to Morocco off my bucket list. I’ve gotta toot my own horn here, because our itinerary is SO GOOD. I’m really excited, and of course, I’ll be sharing all about it once we return.

June

Iñi’s giving a talk in Lyon, and neither of us has been. We haven’t really started exploring France yet, so I’m looking forward to breaking the seal!

July

Likely Seattle to visit family, and maybe we’ll add on; I’ve been missing Hawaii, but that may be a pipe dream this year.

August

Spain: When a solar eclipse’s path of totality is within an hour of your in-laws, why not go see it?!

September

Iñi has a conference in Porto, and we haven’t been to Portugal in an embarrassingly long time, so this should be fun. Maybe I’ll even plan an excursion to the Douro Valley while he’s in sessions (lucky me!).

I’m also considering hosting a small-group trip at the end of September. If this sounds like fun, tell me where you’d be interested in going and get on the waitlist here.

October

Nothing on the calendar (yet)!

November

Back to NYC!!

December

Hopefully Cannes for ILTM (International Luxury Travel Market), and likely Spain for the holidays.

Phew!

It’s going to be a busy year—a tough job, but somebody’s got to do it 😉

The good news for you is that all this travel means a lot of new intel coming your way. I do this work because I love it, obviously, but I also do it so that when you’re ready to plan your next trip, I’ve already done the legwork.

If you have great recommendations for any of these places, or if there’s somewhere you want me to make sure to check out on your behalf, hit reply and let me know. I love hearing from you!

Ciao for now!

P.S. I'm really working on improving my Instagram presence and plan to share about all of these trips there. Make sure to follow me if you don't already!

  • Six Senses just opened their first UK property in London. If you’re a spa/wellness person when you travel, it’s worth checking out (and you can book through me for added-value perks like a hotel credit, complimentary breakfast, room upgrade, and more).
  • Cuyana recently launched a mixed-metal necklace and earrings that can both be worn multiple ways, so naturally I immediately added both to my wishlist.
  • The weather in Paris has been insanely good lately, and all the trees are already blooming! Here’s a pic from the Palais-Royal last week:
