The new luxury

This morning I sat down to write my newsletter and, as usual, had absolutely no clue what to write about.

So I did what any self-respecting procrastinator does: opened my inbox.

I actually went in with a purpose, which was to look for an email from Tonic Site Shop announcing their new template collection.

My website is built on one of their templates and I LOVE it, but I also love drooling over every new drop (which just keep getting better and better). I absolutely do not need a website redesign, yet I want one every time.

Why do I do this to myself, Reader?!

Anyway, the email I happened to open had a line that stopped my skim dead in its tracks:

You know when somebody puts something into words exactly the way you’ve been trying to but haven’t quite found? That was this.

YES!

I scrolled back up to read the rest of the email properly, where Jen (the founder and head designer) talks about creating margin in our lives—time for stillness and connection.

And even though she’s talking about website templates, this is exactly what I’m always going on about, too.

I believe the real luxury isn’t the thread count or the Michelin stars (though those are nice). It’s the ease. The breathing room. The margin to actually experience where you are (and be with who you’re with), instead of just checking sites off a list.

And in our endlessly busy lives, those moments are SO important.

That’s why I love creating ease for my clients:

  • Letting you offload your travel planning because God knows you have enough on your plate already and ain’t nobody got time to spend hours Googling, going down Reddit rabbit holes, and trying to figure out the logistics themselves
  • Helping you take the time off that gives you that shoulder-drop, deep-exhale, “man-I-needed-this” BREAK
  • Making sure that ease is built into your itinerary, whether it be intentional downtime or seamless arrangements where everything is taken care of and you don’t have to think about (or worry about) anything

Because these days, slowness, white space, and leisure time ARE luxuries.

Because I know that when we have these, we get recharged, reconnected, re-inspired.

And THAT’s what it’s all about.

So if you’re craving more ease in your life, book a call and let’s chat. I’d love to help you turn your dream trip into an effortless, luxurious, unforgettable reality.

Ciao for now!

P.S. I didn’t intend for this to be a promo email, but if you happen to be in need of a GORGEOUS new website, or social media or email graphics, use my link and the code SPRITZ to get 20% off the entire site this week.

  • These stunning photos from the almost-finished Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. I remember when it wasn't supposed to be done until 2075, and yet the finish line is edging ever closer. I've always felt it was worth braving the crowds because how often do you get to see a building like this being built before your eyes? And I love that it's different every time you go. But my big existential question is: while it I know it'll be just as beautiful (if not more so), will it be as interesting once it's finished? Maybe go now, just in case.

  • Despite living in France (or maybe because of it?) I don't care that much about Marie Antoinette. But this new exhibition at the V&A looks INCREDIBLE. I think I've convinced Iñi to take a weekend trip to London to check it out—I baited him with a visit to the new Bowie Centre (also part of the V&A), but TBH I'm super interested in that too. If/when we do it, you know I'll report back!
