đ A glimmer of sunshine
Published 3 months ago âąÂ 1 min read
Welp, itâs February.
I was just talking to someone yesterday about how January felt simultaneously eternal and too shortâare you feeling that too, Reader?
I donât know about you, but I entered the year full of big plans and impatience, and at the end of the month, I felt like I hadnât made the progress I wanted to. Although looking back, I did make progressâand with everything going on in our lives and the world, I think itâs okay to give ourselves some grace.
In any case, thereâs something about February that makes you think about whatâs next. January was all resolutions and fresh starts, but now itâs like, okay, so how am I actually going to get those things done?
Dark winter skies with that glimmer of sunshine
If travel is on that list (or if youâve been vaguely thinking âI should go somewhereâ but havenât figured out where or when), this is your reminder that NOW is the time to start planning. Hereâs why:
Having a trip on the calendar gives you something concrete to look forward toâa glimmer of sunshine amidst the drudgery and darkness of winter
You benefit from the immediate pleasure of planning and daydreaming about your trip
The earlier you plan, the more options you have: flight routes and prices, hotel availability, restaurant and activity reservations
Planning ahead means less stress laterâno scrambling, no settling, just showing up and enjoying the trip
You get to stop carrying around that âI should really do thisâ mental weight and actually make it happen
And if youâre in that place where you know you want to travel but you have no idea where you want to go or where to even startâthatâs literally what my Destination Discovery Calls are for. You bring the dream (or even just the feeling that you want to go somewhere), and Iâll help you figure out the rest.
P.S. Seriouslyâif youâre stuck on where to go or what kind of trip makes sense for you, thatâs my favorite kind of call. Letâs figure it out together.â
Google Translate now offers AI-powered conversation practice. Iâve played with it a bit and itâs quite goodâand unlike apps like Duolingo and Babbel (the one I use and recommend), it's free.
LIFE'S TOO SHORT FOR MEDIOCRE TRIPS. THIS IS EFFORTLESS, UNFORGETTABLE TRAVEL THAT TRANSFORMS YOU.
